New at La Selva Jungle Lodge are our Yoga Retreats. Imagine a place you can unwind and be one with nature, enjoying a beautiful view where modern distractions become a faraway memory. Our certified yoga instructor will lead you on a peaceful journey while at the same time rejuvenating your body and soul!

Yoga Inbound Retreat

Price: $20 per person / Maximum 8 People – Minimum 1 Person (3+ years)

The yoga retreats we will be offering are one of a kind and range from beginner to expert regardless of your age, stamina or fitness level. Our experienced yoga instructor at the lodge will be leading the sessions in the morning or in the evening if you prefer not to go on an excursion with your guide. Session times are very flexible and our instructor may be able to schedule around your preferences.

Inbound Yoga is specially formed to integrate five major practices of yoga that help deepen your comprehensive process through an inner journey toward understanding your true selves to live harmoniously with our neighbors, the universe and nature.

  • Hatha Yoga is the practice of controlling the physical body and mind with meditated breathing exercises and certain postures.
  • Karma Yoga is the purification of our activities through charity and generosity not to be selfish. This integration of yoga instructs us to execute positive actions and thoughts.
  • Jnana yoga is defined by knowledge, wisdom, introspection and contemplation. Some consider it to be a challenging path because it draws you to delve deeply into discovering your own true nature. This type of yoga helps provide a natural path of self-discovery with the help of your knowledgeable instructor.
  • Dhyana allows you to practice calming your mind and allowing yourself to look into the outside world without distractions. In doing so, you are able to reach a heightened level of awareness. Meditation and consciousness are practiced together in this form.
  • Bhakti Yoga is the most practiced in India. This type of yoga teaches a person to have devotion by developing a person's love and acceptance for all things.
