Day 1:
Arrival in Ecuador

  •  Arrive at Quito International Airport, where you’ll be greeted and assisted with your transfer.
  •  Check-in at your selected hotel in Quito, with time to relax and prepare for your adventure.

Day 2:
Journey to La Selva

  •  Early transfer to the airport for your flight to Coca.
  • Upon arrival in Coca, enjoy a scenic motorized canoe ride down the Napo River to La Selva.
  • Arrive at La Selva, where you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and a short briefing about your stay.
  • Afternoon activity: An introductory walk along the Matapalo Charapa Trail, where you’ll encounter ancient trees and begin your Amazon exploration.
  • Evening: Night Canoe Ride on Garza Cocha Lagoon to spot caimans, bats, and nocturnal wildlife, followed by a relaxing dinner at the lodge.

Day 3:
Amazon Exploration

  • Morning: Wake up early for a visit to the Observation Tower, which provides breathtaking views from 120 feet above the forest floor, followed by an exploration of Lake Mandi Cocha, where it is possible to spot the elusive giant otters. 
  • Afternoon: Lunch at the lodge followed by a guided exploration of Garzacocha Lagoon, one of the Amazon’s most beautiful lakes, rich with birdlife and primates.
  • Evening: Night Walk through the jungle to observe the fascinating nocturnal wildlife, ending with a delicious dinner.

Day 4:
Cultural and Natural Discovery

  • Morning: Begin your morning with a motorized canoe ride to the Parrot Clay Lick, where you’ll observe the remarkable sight of hundreds of parrots gathered in a vibrant display.
  • Visit the Pilchi Community to learn about indigenous Amazonian traditions, including their use of medicinal plants and local foods.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy a guided walk along the Coto Trail, where you’ll explore the diverse flora and fauna of the rainforest, followed by a canoe ride back to the lodge.
  • Evening: Dinner and a farewell cocktail at La Selva, with a briefing on the departure procedures for the next morning.

Day 5:
Departure from La Selva

  • Early morning wake-up call and breakfast.
  • Transfer by motorized canoe back to Coca, with assistance from La Selva staff.
  • Flight back to Quito and transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 6:
Begin Galapagos Adventure

  • Transfer to the airport for your flight to Baltra, Galapagos.
  • Upon arrival, transfer to the M/C Endemic, where your Galapagos cruise begins.
  • Afternoon: Discover Bartholomew Island, famous for its panoramic views and Pinnacle Rock, with opportunities for snorkeling and wildlife observation.

Day 7:
Floreana Island Exploration

  • Morning: Explore Devil’s Crown, an underwater volcanic crater teeming with marine life, or visit Cormorant Point to see flamingos and other bird species.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Baroness’ Lookout for stunning views and learn about the island’s intriguing history, or explore Post Office Bay, where you can participate in the tradition of leaving postcards.
  • Evening: Enjoy dinner onboard as you cruise to your next destination.

Day 8:
Santiago and North Seymour Islands

  • Morning: Explore Chinese Hat, a small islet celebrated for its distinctive volcanic formations and abundant marine life. Enjoy walking, snorkeling, and kayaking in this peaceful location.
  • Afternoon: You will visit North Seymour Island, home to the largest colony of magnificent frigate birds and blue-footed boobies, with opportunities for snorkeling and observing the famous courtship dances.
  • Evening: Relax onboard with a delightful dinner as you reflect on the day’s adventures.

Day 9:
Return to Mainland Ecuador

  • Morning: Visit Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz Island, where you’ll drift through mangroves and observe rays, sea turtles, and a variety of birdlife in a peaceful setting.
  • After this last visit, transfer to Baltra Airport for your return flight to Quito.
  • Upon arrival in Quito, transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 10:
Departure

  • Transfer to the airport for your international flight home, carrying with you incredible memories of your Amazon and Galapagos adventure.
  • End of program
